 About

Writer-Director, born and raised in West Yorkshire, England, Beck's narrative work explores character-driven stories through psychological landscapes, pushing the line between ordinary and extraordinary, reality and illusion; questioning a character's morals and revelations.

Beck expanded her love of the arts into narrative screenwriting at Deakin University, completing her Honours degree in directing and receiving the Recognition of Excellence award for her psychological short film, LEACH. Now firmly settled in Sydney, Beck continues her practice of long form writing, graduating with a MA in Screenwriting from the Australian Film Television and Radio School.

Beck has dedicated her practice to subverting genre conventions and exploring how audiences perceive identity and reality through emotional character arcs using psychological horror and thriller structures. Currently, she is pursuing stories that offer a feminist lens into themes of female autonomy, confronting trauma and resistance.
